Sierra Leone’s vice president, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh on Friday 10 March 2023, formally opened a newly rehabilitated Fullah Mosque in Koindu town, constituency 002, Kailahun District.

According to the report, the vice president was warmly welcomed by thousands of Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) supporters and the Fullah community in Koindu.

Dr. Jalloh was first received in Kailahun town by SLPP supporters on Thursday 9 March 2023, before heading to Koidu town.

Dr. Jalloh addressed SLPP supporters and the Fullah community before heading for Friday prayers.

He assured the people of Koindu of the SLPP-led government’s continuous support for them.

The Koindu people thanked the Vice President for visiting them. They pleaded with Dr. Jalloh to facilitate the construction of the Koindu Kailahun road.

The attention of the Vice President was also drawn to the Yenga issue. The residents noted that their lives are in danger because of the presence of the Guinean military on their land.

In another development, the chief of staff in the First Lady’s Office, Mr. Feika and Mrs. P Kormoh informed Kailahun District that the First Lady will be embarking on the free sanitary pads distribution to over 5000 female students in Kailahun District on a date that is expected to be announced later this month.
