DIG Kamara Urges Traffic Police to Uphold Professionalism and Discipline
Sia Lucy Kannah Deputy Inspector-General of Police Andrew Mustapha Kamara has urged traffic officers to uphold professionalism, discipline, integrity and ethical conduct in carrying out their duties.
Addressing personnel, he stressed the need to understand and follow institutional policies, procedures and regulations. He said discipline, accountability and respect for the rule of law were essential to effective policing.
He also highlighted the importance of ethical training and accurate police documentation. Officers, he said, should deal fairly and transparently with motorists and members of the public, while respecting their human rights.
He reminded personnel that their conduct shapes the image and reputation of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP). He encouraged them to serve the public with integrity and respect for the law.
The Director of Traffic, Commissioner of Police (CP) Abdul Moijueh, thanked the DIG for his guidance and encouragement. He said the Directorate would take the advice seriously and continue to promote discipline, integrity and professionalism among its personnel.
CP Moijueh added that the Directorate would work to strengthen public confidence in the SLP.
