Sierra Leone’s Entertainment Ambassador and renowned rapper Kao Denero has publicly reacted to the recent appointment of Shady Baby as Peace Ambassador, following the dismissal of Boss LAJ from the position.

In a brief statement shared shortly after the announcement, Kao Denero congratulated the newly appointed ambassador and acknowledged the role of the country’s leadership in the decision.

Congratulations to the brother Shady Baby as he is being appointed our peace ambassador. Thanks to His Excellency President Bio. We move,” Kao Denero stated.

The position of Peace Ambassador was previously held by Boss LAJ, a prominent figure in Sierra Leone’s music industry.

His removal from the role came shortly after his release from Bo Prison on court bail, though official details surrounding the dismissal have not been extensively outlined in public statements.

The appointment of Shady Baby marks a new phase in the role, which is often associated with promoting unity and positive engagement, particularly among the youth. Kao Denero’s response, centered on the phrase “We move,” suggests a forward-looking stance amid the leadership transition.

The statement by Kao Denero serves as the primary source confirming his reaction, reflecting both support for the new appointee and acknowledgment of the broader decision-making process involving the presidency.

As developments continue, stakeholders in Sierra Leone’s entertainment and social sectors are expected to monitor how the new Peace Ambassador will carry out his mandate in the coming months.
