In a significant show of support for their home district, the Kono Annual Prestigious Award (KAPA), a non-profit organization made up of individuals from Kono district, has donated two Dell desktop computers and essential accessories to the Motema Division.
This gesture underscores KAPA’s commitment to enhancing development and security within the district and its surrounding communities.
The donation, which includes modern technology tailored to improve operational efficiency, recognizes the Motema Division’s vital role in maintaining security across Kono. By providing the tools to digitize their administrative processes, KAPA aims to strengthen the division’s capacity to deliver timely and effective services.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, DSP Daniel Sovula, Support Officer of the Motema Division, accepted the equipment on behalf of the division. He described the donation as transformative, noting that it will allow the division to manage its documentation processes internally, thereby reducing reliance on public cyber cafes for sensitive security-related tasks.
“This remarkable contribution by KAPA will revolutionize how we work and improve our ability to serve the community,” DSP Sovula remarked.
He further called on other organizations and individuals to emulate KAPA’s example, highlighting the need for continued investment in tools that empower local institutions.
