Leone Stars Players Spotted Partying at Nightclub After Disappointing Performance in AFCON Qualifiers
Aaron Parker Following a lackluster goalless draw against Chad in the AFCON 2025 qualifiers on September 6, 2024, the Sierra Leone national football team, known as the Leone Stars, has come under scrutiny for their off-field behavior.
Reports indicate that several male players were spotted partying at the Calabash nightclub in Monrovia, Liberia, just hours after their disappointing performance.
The sight of the players enjoying themselves at a nightclub rather than focusing on their recent underwhelming performance has raised concerns among Sierra Leonean football fans.
The timing of their outing, which occurred just before the team’s upcoming match against Zambia on September 10, 2024, has intensified criticism about the players’ commitment and discipline.
Fans are expressing frustration and questioning the team’s focus and the coaching staff’s ability to manage the squad effectively.
The unexpected late-night revelry has led to calls for greater accountability and a renewed commitment from the Leone Stars as they prepare for their crucial match in Zambia.
The team will need to address these concerns swiftly to regain the trust of their supporters and improve their performance in the ongoing qualifiers.
