Favor Brumskine, a Liberian national, regained his freedom on 19 June 2026 after spending one year of a five-year sentence at the Bo Correctional Centre.

Brumskine, who had been serving time over a possession-related offence, was released following the payment of court-imposed fines.

According to the Rise Charity Foundation, the fines were settled through financial support provided by Ghost Empire Music, paving the way for his release on Friday afternoon.

The Foundation noted that the intervention demonstrates the importance of collective support in promoting justice, rehabilitation, and second chances for individuals seeking to rebuild their lives.

It further stated that Brumskine is now focused on starting afresh, with continued support from advocates of restorative justice and reintegration assistance.
