Kekura Fofanah, widely known in the Sierra Leonean movie industry as Director SK, is calling on the public for financial assistance to undergo a spinal surgery in India.
Director SK has been battling with a severe spinal injury for over two years, which has tragically left him paralyzed from the waist down.
During his treatment journey, he spent a month at the Connaught Hospital in Freetown, and was later referred to ECOMED, where an MRI scan revealed compression of the L3, L4, and L5 vertebrae in his spine. This has resulted in the complete loss of sensation and mobility below the waist.
International enquiries were made, and doctors in Fortis Hospital Bengaluru and GHC Hospital in Mumbai India, have reviewed his case and confirmed that he urgently needs spinal surgery to restore his chances of recovery.
