The Ambassador for Peace and Social Cohesion has officially commenced the implementation of his 100-Day Workplan with the establishment of a functional Secretariat and the launch of strategic stakeholder engagements with various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) across Sierra Leone.

According to the Ambassador, the engagements are aimed at fostering collaboration, strengthening institutional partnerships, and aligning peacebuilding initiatives with the country’s broader national development priorities.

He noted that the establishment of the Secretariat represents a major milestone in creating an effective operational framework that will coordinate activities, improve communication, and support the successful implementation of his peace and social cohesion agenda nationwide.

The Ambassador further emphasized that the consultations with key MDAs are intended to promote inclusive dialogue, youth empowerment, civic responsibility, and sustainable peacebuilding initiatives capable of enhancing national unity and driving social transformation in Sierra Leone.

He maintained that the 100-Day Workplan will lay the foundation for impactful interventions focused on community engagement, partnership building, and the advancement of peace advocacy initiatives throughout the country.

The initiative is expected to strengthen cooperation among state institutions and stakeholders while supporting ongoing efforts to maintain peace, stability, and social cohesion in Sierra Leone.
