The Sierra Leone Association of Journalists [SLAJ] has announced the death of David William, a member of the association and camera operator at the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC), who passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
It was reported that William involved in an accident along the Kambia Highway in northern Sierra Leone with his colleague, Ibrahim Samura, the Acting News Editor at SLBC.
While David William did not survive the incident, Ibrahim Samura is currently receiving treatment at Port Loko Government Hospital after sustaining injuries. The journalism community mourns the loss of William and wishes for a swift recovery for Samura.
May the Lord have mercy upon him and grant him eternal rest in Perfect Peace and grant his family courage in this time of grief.
