A teacher at the Makama Baptist Secondary School in the Northern city of Makeni, Samuel Turay is reportedly on the run for impregnating a 16-year-old school after been declared wanted by the Sierra Leone Police.

An anonymous police investigator from the Family Support Unit at Mena Police station in Makeni confirmed to our reporter that a fugitive vanished following allegations of impregnating a victim and then aborting the pregnancy two weeks prior. The case is currently under investigation.

According to the said victim, she was in a romantic relationship with Turay a year ago and she confirmed it was the teacher who deflowered her into an unfinished building owned by Turay’s family.

The victim said that she was in SSS 1 at age 15 when Sesay alias “Shasha” took her virginity around the second term adding that they have had multiple sex in one of the unfinished buildings in their compound.

She said they had been in this sexual relationship with the fugitive teacher until recently when she learned that she missed her monthly menstrual period. The 16-year-old victim said she informed the teacher who is a neighbor that she missed her menstrual period.

Having confirmed that she was pregnant, she said Turay then advised that they should abort the pregnancy. He later brought her a rubber medicine made from local herbs and asked her to drink it.

“He asked me to drink the medicine and the following day I saw blood oozing from my private part. I experienced stomach aches throughout that period and it was painful,” the victim said.

The mother of the victim, Warrah Bangura, said, she recalled a week ago the suspected teacher went to her house and informed her that his wife was accusing him of having an affair with her daughter, the victim.

The mother said the teacher asked her to take action against his wife for smearing the name of the victim. The mother said she later learned about her daughter’s pregnancy and complicated abortion.

“From that point, I alerted one of her aunties who advised that we report the matter to the police. We later reported the matter to the Mena police station, and statements have been obtained from us,” the mother said.

But since then, the mother said the teacher wasn’t seen around.

Other sources contacted by this medium revealed that the teacher is hiding in a nearby village around Makeni and he does come around to see his family. Meanwhile, the police said they were investigating the matter and called on all help locate the teacher.
