A young man, who identified himself as Sheku Ngoba, was allegedly caught stealing furniture from the 8th floor of the Youyi Building in Freetown on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
After series of questioning by authorities at the facility, the suspect confirmed to be a businessman of Belgium ground in Freetown, a place popularly known for selling stolen properties. “I sell furniture,” he admitted.
The suspect, was reportedly caught red-handed during broad daylight, putting an end to a series of thefts that had allegedly been occurring in the building over an extended period.
Sources indicated that the individual had been involved in stealing government property within the premises, but his activities were finally interrupted when he was discovered in the act.
Details regarding the arrest and subsequent handling of the suspect by security or law enforcement officials were not immediately disclosed.
