Vehicle Reportedly Carrying Prisoners Involved in Accident on Taiama-Moyamba Highway
At approximately 6 PM on 28 October 2025, a vehicle with registration number ARB 173, reportedly transporting prisoners from Freedom to Kenema, was involved in an accident on the Motengbeh Hill stretch of the Taiama to Moyamba Junction Highway.
The vehicle reportedly had over ten individuals on board at the time.
Five people sustained injuries and were immediately taken to the Moyamba Junction Health Centre for medical treatment. Those who were not injured continued their journey to Bo.
Among the injured were a prison officer and two individuals identified as deltas. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported, and all injured individuals are responding well to treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
