A vulnerable woman in Kathatha Village, Sella Limba Chiefdom, Karene District, has given birth to triplets, all boys, placing significant strain on her family’s already limited resources.
The father, Alie Bangura, a local farmer and motorbike rider, spoke to media officers about the challenges he and his wife are facing in caring for their one-month-old sons.
With a mix of smiles and tears, Mr. Bangura expressed the overwhelming nature of the situation, saying, “If Almighty God had asked or sounded his consent, not triplets at this crucial period.”
The family is struggling to provide for the triplets, and Mr. Bangura fears that without immediate support, they will be forced to feed the infants local pap prematurely. He is urgently appealing to humanitarian organizations, the government, and the people of Karene District for assistance.
“The pressure on my wife and the one-month-old babies is immense,” Mr. Bangura said. He implored “Godly citizens” both within and outside Sierra Leone to come forward and provide aid.
