The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has called on private sector suppliers to play a more active role in promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical business practices, emphasizing that the fight against corruption requires the collective commitment of both public and private institutions.
This appeal was made at the Africa Global Logistics (AGL) Supplier Compliance Workshop held in commemoration of Africa Anti-Corruption Day 2026.
Representing ACC, Samuel Muti Marah Esq. affairmed the importance of integrity as the cornerstone of sustainable business and national development. He urged suppliers to reject bribery and conflicts of interest, strengthen internal compliance mechanisms, and uphold ethical procurement practices.
Held under the theme, “Scaling Up the Promotion of Integrity and Anti-Corruption Actions Across Africa – Supplying with Integrity,” the workshop brought together suppliers, compliance professionals, and key stakeholders to strengthen ethical standards across AGL’s supply chain.
The ACC Recommend initiatives that foster stronger partnerships between the public and private sectors in advancing integrity, promoting compliance, and building a corruption-free Sierra Leone.
