Gruesome Accident at Waterloo Left 4 Deaths and 5 Injuries
Fayia Junior Moseray The Traffic Management and Road Safety Department of the Waterloo Police Division, on Wednesday, 15 March 2023, along the Waterloo-Freetown highway, informed the public that a vehicle was involved in a gruesome road accident that led to the death of four (4) persons immediately dead.
The accident according to the report included three (3) school pupils (2 girls and 1 boy) ages 5 and 7, and 12 respectively with an unidentified adult male.
The information officer of the Waterloo Police Division stated that the driver of the vehicle, Mohamed Bobby Turay; a resident of No.6 Gboro Road, Bumbuna, is currently in custody at the Waterloo Police Division.
He disclosed that five (5) other persons, including three (3) females and two (2) males, were in critical condition at the Waterloo Government Hospital.
Also, the four (4) corpses, the Information Officer said have been taken to the Connaught Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
The accident led to the devastation of so many properties hit by another vehicle.
The cause of the accident is still unknown to the public but the police are currently doing investigations to know the cause of the accident.
