The Executive Director of Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation (BBHF) who doubles as Ward Councillor at Port Loko City Council, Amb. Unisa Totti Fofanah has been unveiled as Plan International Gender Transformation Champion 2022 Port Loko District.

This award ceremony was hosted at the Port Loko District Council Conference Hall. The ceremony was graced by many philanthropist who have sacrificed one way or the other for development of Port Loko and Sierra Leone at a spectrum.

Amb. Unisa Totti Fofanah is undoubtedly one of the most influential people in the town and Port Loko as a whole. He has been spotted on many developmental projects within the region and outside. As of present, he is the Executive Director of the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation, a body that acknowledges and celebrates people of diverse works of life for their service delivery to humanity.

Honoured the said event, Unisa Totti expressed how ecstatic he was tohave received such recognition for his efforts and his contributions to society. This he continued that it is a clear manifestation that people have been following up and acknowledged his contributions to humanity and went on that he was over the moon to be named Gender Transformation Champion 2022.

Recalling to his project years back with the He 4 She Champions in Sierra Leone at a program hosted by AIM-SL, Unisa Totti with this new award expressed how determined he has been boosted to do more for humanity and especially women and girls.

“Years back, I was enlisted among the He 4 She Champions in Sierra Leone at a program hosted by AIM-SL. Today, is a new beginning of another chapter to do more in the course of advocating and empowering more people especially Women and Girls to realize their full potential and to acquire a successful future,” He disclosed.

Speaking on the said event, Unisa Totti appreciated the Plan International for recognizing his efforts and sacrifices. With this award added to his designations, he assured to do more for his people. As humbled as he is known by many, Unisa dedicated the award to the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation team, supporters of his community developmental projects.

I have been identified as an individual person to receive the award, but the facts remains that I am not in the journey alone.
