A second ferry has reportedly berthed at Queen Elizabeth Quay, after the first one arrived last week.

According to reports, this one is 20 percent larger than the first one and can accommodate 500 passengers and 90 automobiles.

In November last year, the Minister of Transport and Aviation, Kabineh Kallon, disclosed to Global Times that two brand new passenger ferries are expected to arrive in Freetown.

The arrival of the new ferries is expected to ease the difficulties of sea transportation from Freetown to Lungi and Government Wharf to Tagrin.
