A high-level delegation from the All People’s Congress (APC) Party in Sierra Leone has safely arrived in Abuja, Nigeria, to visit former President Ernest Bai Koroma, who is currently in Nigeria for medical treatment.
The delegation includes APC National Chairman Hon. Minkailu Mansaray, Deputy National Chairman, National Secretary General, and National Publicity Secretary. Their primary objective is to connect with the former leader and assess his well-being as he undergoes medical care.
During their visit, the APC delegation is expected to engage with the former president to discuss key party matters and provide moral support. Ernest Bai Koroma, who led Sierra Leone from 2007 to 2018, remains a significant figure in the country’s political landscape, and his health status has been a subject of concern among party members and supporters.
To ensure the smooth running of the party in their absence, National Organising Secretary Bai Mahmoud Bangura has been entrusted with overseeing party affairs. He will maintain communication with the National Chairman to ensure that all critical decisions are addressed in a timely manner.
The APC leadership remains committed to keeping its members informed about the former president’s health while continuing its political engagements in Sierra Leone. Party supporters and well-wishers have expressed their solidarity, hoping for a speedy recovery for Ernest Bai Koroma.
Further updates on the delegation’s visit and the former president’s condition are expected in the coming days.
