The All People’s Congress (APC) has commenced face-to-face discussions with Government representatives over the implementation of the Agreement for National Unity and key electoral reforms.
According to a public notice issued on Thursday, April 16, 2026, the APC Negotiation Team is engaging the Government through the facilitation of International Moral Guarantors. The Government delegation is being led by Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh.
The talks are centered on critical concerns raised by the APC, including the implementation of the Agreement for National Unity, the recommendations put forward by the Tripartite Committee, and the recent appointment of Edmond Sylvester Alpha as Chief Electoral Commissioner.
The APC noted that although discussions are still ongoing and have not yet been concluded, the party is encouraged by the level of progress made so far.
The party further assured its membership and the general public that engagements will continue, with a commitment to provide timely updates as developments unfold.
The dialogue forms part of broader efforts to address political tensions and strengthen democratic processes in Sierra Leone.
