Sierra Leonean opposition politician, Dr Sylvia Olayinka Blyden has announced that the All Peoples Congress (APC) party has approved her application and granted permission to contest to sit as a Member of the National Advisory Committee (NAC).

She made this announcement on her Facebook page on Wednesday 15th February 2023.

She noted that she was approved after her membership and subscription payments of over 10 continuous years were verified alongside her impeccable loyalty to the APC.

“I am a very loyal asset to the APC and getting all clear to contest to sit on the NAC, speaks volumes.” She vaunted.

Speaking of her intentions for the party, Blyden said she hopes that if elected, she will be able to help guide the APC party away from some of the unfortunate pathways that it has embarked upon due to influence, adding that she looks forward to giving good, patriotic advise to the APC.

Blyden also spoke about the concerns from a few quarters over her close relationship with the First Lady, Fatima Maada Bio, noting that her relationship with the First Lady is non-political adding that she loves her as a sister and that she will never allow Politics to come between them.

Blyden stressed that the country must learn the art of political tolerance typical of the one between herand the First Lady.

She urged her supporters to also help influence the decision of the delegates and lobby them that the APC needs someone like her seated in the NAC to advise the APC.
