The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) National Women’s Council, with support from the JMB UK&I branch has supported one hundred and ten (110) women with cash gifts.

The 110 beneficiaries are from the Kenema, Bo and Kailahun districts. They received the sum of one thousand, five hundred new leones(Nle 1,500) each.

According to the National Women’s Leader of the Council, Madam Hawa Foray, the gesture is in continuous appreciation to fellow women for their various contributions towards the victory of SLPP in the just concluded multi-tier elections.

Madam Hawa Foray admonished beneficiaries to make judicious use of the gesture, and applauded the donor for their timely intervention in ensuring a start up fund for their members who intend to engage themselves in some business activities.

Foray also assured other women who are yet to benefit from the gesture to exercise patience as they are next on the line to serve as beneficiaries in a not too distance future.

A senior representative of the JMB SLPP UK& I branch madam Sandra Rogers called on fellow party women to remain strong in always working towards the progress of the party.
