The Court of Appeal of Sierra Leone has on Friday adjourned the Commission of Inquiry (COI) Appeal matters of former President Ernest Bai Koroma and that of the 2018 Presidential Candidate of the All People’s Congress, Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara to the 12th July 2021.

Former President Koroma and Samura Kamara were alleged to have misappropriated funds in their various offices leading the country to lose billions of Leones .

As a result of challenging the recommendations and findings of the Commission of Inquiry against their persons, they filed appeals challenging the work of the Commissioners in the Commission of Inquiry.

Yesterday both appeal cases were supposed to come up for hearing but were later adjourned.

At the court room, the presiding Judge, Justice Ansumana Ivan Sesay said they will first proceed with the matter of former Minister of Health and Sanitation Miatta Kargbo, but one of the lawyers of the Appellant Ady Macauley was swift to seek for leave in order to mention the matter of the former president, which at the end was adjourned.
