Information Minister Reiterates President Bio’s Vision For a Peaceful Sierra Leone

The Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah has on the 19^th January, 2024 reiterated President Bio’s commitment to uphold and protect the values of democracy and the rule of law in the country.

He said the president has the people and the country at heart for which he is doing everything possible to have things work in the right way sighting the president’s involvement into having a peace dialogue with different facets sectors in the country that are connected to the peace of the nation including the main opposition All Peoples Congress Party, adding that, President Bio has been a major player of peace and development in the history of the country and would still continue on that trajectory.

He said, president Bio has not taken part in the proceedings involving the former president as that has to be determined by the court and the medical leave given to former president Koroma was as deemed necessary by the court and not by the president.

He added that the speech by the president was clarion call for all Sierra Leoneans to have in mind that, they must embrace peace at all times to making sure that the country remain peaceful.
