Former Chairman, Leader and 2018 presidential candidate of the Alliance Democratic Party(ADP) Mohamed Kamaraimba Mansaray, has been left alone to battle his rape allegation case in court as defense lawyers have abandoned him because he hasn’t money to pay legal service.

Mohamed Kamaraimba Mansaray was initially represented by lawyers Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, Amadu Koroma and Momodu Konteh.

Mohamed Kamaraimba Mansaray informed the court that the lawyers abandoned him because because he hasn’t money to pay them, saying, ” I have learnt my lesson.

Meanwhile, Justice S.O Taylor informed the accused that should his lawyers fail to appear on Tuesday, he will withdraw the file for ruling.

Kamaraimba and Co. were charged with eight counts charges of conspiracy contrary 43(b) of the Sexual Penetration contrary to section 4 (a) of the sexual offences (Ammendment) Act of 2019(Act.No 8 of 2019) among others.

Kamaraimba is being tried on Seven counts of conspiracy to commit an act of sexual penetration, intentionally meeting a child for sexual purposes, engaging in an act of sexual penetration with a child, among others, while Marion Arouni is facing two counts charges of conspiracy to commit an act of sexual penetration and aiding and abetting Mohamed Kamaraimba Mansaray to commit an act of sexual penetration of a child.

The incident indicate that the offences were committed between 14th February to 31st March 2020 in two Jurisdiction- Freetown in the Western Area, and Kono in the Eastern Province. The matter has been adjourned to the 6th September.
