President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio has appointed Mohamed James as the new Director of Technology Presidential Delivery Unit.

James was appointed by President Bio in a letter addressed to him on the 28th of August 2023. James has a (BSc. Honors) in computer science from Njala University, and has been a data scientist within DSTI. His favorite activity is engaging with experts, citizens, and other technical staff to build and deploy systems.

The letter indicated that James’ appointment will take effect the day he resume work and should indicate in writing his acceptance or otherwise of the offer.

The letter which was signed by the Secretary to the president reads: “I write to inform you that it has pleased His Excellency the President, Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio to appoint you as Director of Technology, Presidential Delivery Unit, Office of the President”.

“The Terms and Conditions of Service in respect of your appointment will be communicated to you in due course”.

“I am to congratulate you on your appointment and to wish you success in this assignment”.

“Your appointment will take effect from the date you report for duty.

Please indicate in writing your acceptance or otherwise of the offer”.
