President Julius Maada has officially Endorsed Mohamed Gento Kamara as the Mayoral candidate for the Ruling Sierra Leones People’s Party.

The president who is the Leader of the Party officially endorsed Chief Mohamed Gento Kamara who is the only contending Mayoral candidate for the SLPP

The Endorsement was made on the 9th of February 2023 at the climax of the 13th National Delegates Conference of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) held at the Bintumani Conference Centre in Aberdeen, Freetown.

The Mayoral Aspirant was awarded the Mayoral Symbol to contest for the position of Mayor in the forthcoming Local Government Election (Freetown City Council Mayoral Election) slated to take place in June this year.

The pronouncement stirred up excitement amongst party loyalists and reinforced their hope to win the forthcoming election.

Mohamed Gento Kamara expressed his gratitude reassuring Freetonians of an efficient service delivery system when elected as the next Mayor of Freetown. He also stated that his key priority areas of focus are ensuring the unfettered supply of water from taps, undertaking thorough and sustainable cleaning exercises or programs, recycling waste into consumable products and promoting oneness or unification by breaking the scourge of tribalism.

He encouraged all of his supporters to maintain an inclusive political strategy and to campaign beyond party and tribal lines furthering that the main objectives of his mayoral aspiration are centred around resolving tribal indifferences and creating a platform for inclusive development as well as total unification.
