During the session, we addressed sub-regional issues pertinent to peace, security, stability, and regional integration to maintain growth momentum and consolidate socio-economic gains for our people and the well-being of the Community.

Sierra Leone unequivocally welcomes the Community’s strides in education, agriculture, mining, water, energy, and infrastructure development.

We remain committed to translating these strides into meaningful and gainful employment, especially for our youth, that will improve the quality of life of our people and positively impact the region.

I thank my dear brother and outgoing Chair His Excellency US Embalo for his excellent stewardship of the Community and for being a gracious host.

I welcome my elder brother His Excellency official ABAT to the Authority of Heads of State and Government and congratulate him on being elected as Chair
