The Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, has formally invited His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio “to be a Founding Member of the Transforming Education Summit”.

According to the UN Secretary-General, “Sierra Leone has taken several important steps to transform education domestically and, through your Minister for Education, has made a critical contribution to the preparatory process of the Summit. Considering this, and given your role as Co-Chair of the High-level Steering Committee of Sustainable Development Goal Four, I have the honor of inviting you to be a Founding Member of this informal Group of Champions”.
