President Julius Maada Bio joined other global leaders in the reception of the 78th session of the General Assembly (UNGA 78) on Tuesday, September 19.

The President shared this development on his Facebook page with the theme of the program.

Today, I joined other global leaders for the welcome reception and opening of the 78th Session of the General Assembly (UNGA 78) under the theme: Rebuilding Trust and Reigniting Global Solidarity; Accelerating Action on the 2030 Agenda and Its Sustainable Development Goals Towards Peace, Prosperity, Progress and the Sustainability For All,” the President acclaimed.

The President went on to state that they are at a crossroads in history and the path to the future and that of generations to come.

We are at a crossroads in history to address global issues, and the path ahead will be decisive in determining our future and that of generations to come,” he said.

At the end, he added he is looking forward to engagement and presentation of Sierra Leone’s statement in coming days.
