The president of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio has stated that Sierra Leone is among countries with low risks of Corona Virus and it is okay for people to take off their masks.

The president made this statement while addressing the ninth District Conference of the Rotary 9101 at the Bintumani Conference Centre in Freetown last week Friday.

President Bio told the Rotary Club that Sierra Leone is among the low risks of corona virus, noting that it is okay for people to take off their masks.

“You can take off your masks,” he said to them.

The president noted that his government is continuing to bring verified vaccine doses and encouraged all Sierra Leoneans to take take the vaccines.

He further encouraged Sierra Leoneans to abide to the Covid-19 precautionary measures that the government has preferred.

“When each of is safe, we are all protected as a nation,” President Bio said.
