President Julius Maada Bio has on Wednesday 23 February 2022 made a visit to Kambia Distict, where he updated the indigenes and residents in that part of the country of the progress and development undertaken by his government over the last three years.

President Bio was at Kambia to grace the installation ceremony of Paramount Chiefs from 13 chiefdoms across the country.

The president said that he is at Kambia to listen to the concerns and needs of the people in that part of the country.

He assured the people of Kambia that he will continue to visit to monitor and ensure the development needs of his people are taken care of.

Speaking on his free quality education programme, President Bio stated that he has made lots of progress in the educational sector in the country, adding that the free quality education have increased enrolment and retention statistics.

 

“The reasons for the free quality education are strategic with enormous benefits that will not even be seen immediately. But when the benefit finally hit in the long run, it will benefit the entire nation,” he maintained.

“Education is the only way to success and I am encouraging you all to send your children to school so that they can benefit from the free quality education and become better people in the future,” he noted.

President Bio reiterated that the student with the best result in the just concluded WASSCE in the country is from a school in Lunsar, noting that all this is a result of the free quality education.

“I will visit the school in Lunsar to personally congratulate them for doing a great job,” he added.

The President emphasized that his leadership will not only benefit Freetown because Freetown is not Sierra Leone.

He assured the people of the north that he will ensure delivery on every manifesto promise across the country.

He extended special appreciation to the former Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Victor Bockarie Foh, who has pledged to support the President’s development strides.
