Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, has reaffirmed Government’s commitment to transparency and accountability through the continued publication of Cabinet Conclusions aimed at keeping citizens informed about key national decisions.
Speaking during the Government Weekly Press Conference held on Tuesday, 12th May 2026, at the Miatta Civic Center in Freetown, Bah stated that President Julius Maada Bio remains committed to promoting open governance and strengthening public access to government information.
According to the Minister, one of the major decisions reached during the Cabinet meeting of 6th May 2026 was the approval of proposed amendments to sections of the Work Permit Act 2023.
He explained that the amendments are intended to align the legislation with the fully digitized work permit system that became operational in January 2026.

Bah noted that the publication of Cabinet Conclusions forms part of Government’s broader efforts to enhance transparency, improve public awareness, and ensure accountability in governance.
The Government Weekly Press Conference serves as a platform for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to provide updates on national policies, programmes, and decisions affecting citizens across the country.
