CCTV Theft: Carpenter Sentenced 18 Months Imprisonment
30yrs old James David a Carpenter made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence on a date between 1st October to 30th October 2022 at Thoronka drive, junction Hill Station in the mountain rural district of the western area of Freetown steal five CCTV Cameras each valued at three thousand new Leones (3,000,000) all to the total value of fifteen thousand Leones (15,000,000) in New Leones Property of Sinneh Kargbo.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor told the bench that the fact was a charge with no available records.
However, the accused person pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy Magistrate Gogra due to the plea mitigation sentenced the accused person to eighteen months imprisonment at the male correctional centre in Freetown.
Police constable 14071 Mustapha Massaquoi is prosecuting the matter.
