The Team Samura Kamara Movement has expressed profound thanks and appreciation to members of the All Peoples Congress (APC) party for electing Samura Kamara has their presidential candidiate for June’s general elections.
Kamara, who narrowly lost to then opposition candidate President Julius Maada Bio of the SLPP in 2018, will once again lead his party into the 24 June 2023 elections, after winning the presidential candidacy race at the APC convention held in Makeni by a landslide 1,382 valid votes casted by delegates.

“Comrades all of the indomitable All People’s Congress Party, the Movement For Dr. Samura Kamara is hereby expressing its utmost gratitude and thanks to all fellow comrades that supported the movement; the delegates and supporters that spent sleepless nights in Makeni, all affiliate groups of the APC Party, support groups of Dr. Samura Kamara, flagbearer contenders, the various APC Social media groups, stakeholders of the party, the IGTC, the TIIEMC, the outgoing Chairman- H.E President Koroma and the APC Party in entirety.
Fellow APCians and Sierra Leoneans, the Movement wishes to inform you all that our newly elected flagbearer-Dr. Samura Kamara, the people’s leader and our would-be President come June 24, will arrive in Freetown tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd February 2023 (Public Holiday).
On that note, the movement is calling on all APCians, supporters, support groups and Sierra Leoneans by extension to be in readiness to give an historic and heroic welcome to our next President-Dr. Samura Kamara tomorrow as the team will be leaving Makeni with a motorcade parade to Freetown.
Therefore, the movement is calling on all supporters, sympathizers, and well-wishers to be calm, and peaceful, and refrain from violence and hate speeches that may bring division within the party and that may also hinder the peace and stability of the country.
The movement wants to make it abundantly known that our leader and President in awaiting Dr. Samura Kamara is geared towards unifying Sierra Leone and our party as the country in the moment is in a crossroad.
