ComSIL Trains Members in Fundraising and Financial Management

The Community Support Initiative Leone (ComSIL) has conducted a one-day training on financial and resource mobilisation for eight of its members.

The training aimed to improve members’ skills in fundraising, budget management, and the effective use of organisational and community resources.

According to ComSIL, the capacity-building session will help strengthen accountability, build donor confidence, and reduce reliance on a single source of funding.

The organisation also noted that the skills gained will support long-term sustainability, expand outreach, and increase impact on community development.

The training was supported by ActionAid Sierra Leone and the Centre for Coordination of Youth Activities (CCYA) through the “Youth Action for Good Governance and Self-Reliance (YAGGS)” EU-funded project.

Other partners involved in the initiative include the European Union in Sierra Leone, UNICEF Sierra Leone, the Human Rights Commission of Sierra Leone (HRCSL), and the Association of Language and Literacy Educators – Reading Sierra Leone.
