The Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, David Moinina Sengeh has blamed the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) for the poor quality of voter’s ID cards.

“Dark photos are from 2015 National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA) database,” the minister said.

He added that photo quality issues are due to migration of photos from the 2015 NCRA database.

“It shows the poor quality of photos during the APC era,” he said.

Locals last week Friday decried the new voter’s ID cards issued by the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) because of several irregularities including missing addresses, names and dark photos.

Sierra Leone will go the polls this June in a multi-tier election. Political analysts have forecasted that the incumbent will face a stiff competition for the main opposition APC.
