Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, who doubles as Chairman of the Council of ECOWAS Ministers, Timothy Kabba, has received the Director of Conference and Protocol of ECOWAS and her team in Freetown.
According to Kabba, the Director and team’s visit to Freetown is to assess Sierra Leone’s preparedness to host the 69th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government. The event is scheduled for July 2026 and will be hosted in Lungi.
Kabba disclosed that the team has satisfactorily accessed the conference venue under rapid construction and the completed ECOWAS logistic depot in Lungi.
The Summit in July will focus on critical regional issues such as political stability, security and economic integration.
