Director of Communications at the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (EC-SL), Raymond A.M. George has confirmed that the Commission has commenced the process of paying workers for the June 2023 general elections and that they have already paid over fifteen thousand staff.

George revealed the on-going payment of Pooling staff at the Kamakwie ECSL Office. He continued that it is the UNDP that is in control of the payment and that the EC-SL is also monitoring the process.

In a recent  public advisory released by the Electoral Commission on 29 September 2023, it announced that the operating period of the RCBank Special Pay Points Originally scheduled to conclude on 29 September, will now remain accessible until 13 October, offering a lifeline to verified polling personnel.

The Press advisory confirmed that the Special Pay Points will be open seven days a week, ensuring convenience and accessibility for those eligible to receive payments.

Verified polling personnel, whose details were recently confirmed by the ECSL/UNDP Call Center,would soon receive an SMS with their individual SIM Korpor e-voucher codes to cash their individual SIM-Korpor e-korpor voucher codes to cash their payment at any branch of Rokel Commercial[RC] Bank,
, individuals are encouraged to bring their valid government-issued IDs, such as national identity cards, voter ID cards, driver’s licenses, or passports, which were used to confirm their details during the verification process.
