Christmas is here again and Christians in Sierra Leone have joined their fellow believers across the world to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Christmas Day is declared as a public holiday not just in the country but also in many other nations.

It is accompanied by the teachings of Christ which include showing love to one another and tolerance among other Christian virtues.

Former President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma has also sent out his seasonal greetings to Sierra Leoneans.

In his message, Koroma urged Sierra Leoneans to look beyond the challenges and be courageous, fair, just, civil, peaceful, united and progressive

“Christmas is a special time to celebrate our Lord and reflect upon His love to us.

“Despite the challenges, let His life and teachings therefore inspire us to be courageous, fair, just, civil, peaceful, united and progressive. Merry Christmas & prosperous New Year!”, He said.
