First Lady Fatima Bio, Saudi Envoy Hold Key Diplomatic Talks
Sahid Bangura First Lady, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, has received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sierra Leone, His Excellency Saud Al Musaed, for discussions on strengthening diplomatic relations and cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting took place at the First Lady’s office on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, and focused on reinforcing the longstanding friendship between Sierra Leone and Saudi Arabia and exploring opportunities for greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
In a statement following the meeting, Dr. Fatima Bio highlighted the importance of religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect in fostering stronger relationships between nations and communities.
She noted that the shared Muslim faith of many people in both countries serves as an important foundation for friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding.
The First Lady also emphasised the need to deepen diplomatic engagement and build partnerships that promote mutual benefits for the people of both nations.
She expressed appreciation to Ambassador Al Musaed for the visit and reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s commitment to international cooperation, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.
Dr. Fatima Bio said she looked forward to continued engagement with the Saudi ambassador to strengthen relations between Sierra Leone and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
