Fatima Bio Sends Strong Message To Maada Bio’s ‘Side Chick’
Fatmata Grace Bangura During a recent public gathering, First Lady Fatima Maada Bio made remarks that drew laughter and applause from the audience as she addressed the issue of marital fidelity among Sierra Leone’s past and present leaders.
In her speech, Mrs. Bio commented that historically, many of the country’s presidents had either multiple wives or numerous concubines. However, she noted that her husband, President Julius Maada Bio, does not follow that pattern.
“All the presidents that have ruled this country if they didn’t have many wives, they had plenty concubines,” she said. “But President Bio, when he looks at me at home, he knows he cannot try such, because he knows I’m crazier than him.”
The audience reacted with loud applause and laughter in response to her statement.
