Fatima Bio Receives Warm Welcome in Makeni
Salamatu Y. Kamara Sierra Leone’s First Lady Fatima Bio received a warm welcome today Tuesday 28th February 2023 from the people of Makeni, Northern Sierra Leone.
The first lady visited the city of Makeni to engage the girl child in civic education and the distribution of free sanitary pads.
According to reports from Makeni, the First Lady disembarked her convoy vehicle around the Clock Tower area in Central Makeni and majestically marched through major streets to the Wusum Field amidst supporters dancing, singing, and drumming as they welcome her.
The First Lady over the past weeks has been engaging school girls in different parts of the country on different issues and distributing free sanitary pads to them.
