A cross-section of the Fourah Bay College Students’ Union Government has presented a Service Award to the bank for its tremendous contributions in the realm of Digital Banking, and for promoting financial management and contributing to national development.

The Managing Director, Mohamed Alhajie Samoura in receiving the award reaffirmed the vision and goal of his institution which is to further improve on every aspect of their banking system and service delivery.

The second objective of the visit was to discuss on the possibility of their aid and support in the upcoming Mr. & Miss FBC and, by extension, the completion of the Fourah Bay College entrance and exit gates.

UBA set an unprecedented record with the appointment of Samoura as the first Sierra Leonean Managing Director of not only UBA, but also the MD of a Nigerian-Originated bank in Sierra Leone.

The visit which was in the form of a courtesy call, has been described by the student Union body as a fruitful engagement.
