The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) regrets to inform residents of Freetown about intermittent power cuts.
Severe weather conditions in both Bumbuna and Freetown are causing difficulties in maintaining a stable electricity supply.
EDSA crews are working diligently at the Bumbuna Power Dam and the Freetown 161 Station to synchronize the Karpowership with the Bumbuna Hydroelectric Plant. This synchronization will ensure efficient distribution of power throughout Freetown.
The Authority apologizes for any inconvenience caused and assures residents that they are working hard to restore normal power supply as soon as synchronization is complete.

Okay
Always some excuse. With the amount of rain we are getting, shouldn’t Bumbuna be operating at maximum capacity?
When last power outage was not in Freetown. We are use to black out pa o pa.
Parabolic lies.
There are countries that experience difficult weather than we do but yet no electricity interruption.
WHAT A SHAME TO THIS COUNTRY
Thanks to Mr solar
Bunch of excuses everyday. During the previous regime at the mid of the raining season we have almost 24hrs of electricity. I just don’t comprehend this but your plan Maintenance is poor. Reference the good practices of the previous regime and adjust accordingly. This is the way to go.
We in some productivity areas like Grafton, jui do not even know if there is a cut off of electricity, because we are not even getting effective electricity supply all while.
If weather change or not, this has always been the case in this country in terms of electricity.
God bless this country and destroy the wicked.
