The Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs has joined the World Bank Group, the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, and other stakeholders in assessing the implementation of education and child protection projects in Kailahun District.

The joint monitoring exercise focused on the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Transforming Education and Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) projects, with the delegation visiting the Government Secondary School for Girls, the One Stop Centre, and the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs District Office Skill Training Centre.

The visits provided an opportunity to assess progress in project implementation, identify existing gaps, and improve coordination among institutions responsible for education delivery, accountability, child protection, and safeguarding.

The exercise underscores the government’s Whole-of-Government Approach to ensuring that development initiatives address the needs of children while promoting access to quality education in safe and protective environments.

The Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs reiterated its commitment to working with development partners and relevant stakeholders to protect children’s rights and ensure that every child has access to quality education.
