In a global broadcast during the ECOWAS Summit, the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, extended congratulations to Julius Maada Bio for his successful re-election as President of Sierra Leone.
The felicitations, delivered on behalf of the entire United Nations, were received with gratitude by President Bio during the live event.
Special Representative for West Africa and the Sahel, H.E. Leonardo Santos Simão, conveyed the message on behalf of Secretary-General Guterres and thanked the Government of Sierra Leone for the successful conduct of the multi-tier elections held on June 24th.
President Bio expressed his deep appreciation for the numerous congratulatory messages and warm fraternal felicitations on his well-deserved re-election.
He took the opportunity to extend his formal congratulations to his brother and colleague, H.E Ahmed Bola Tinubu, who attended his first ECOWAS Heads of State Summit as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
During the summit, President Bio reaffirmed his commitment to support the ECOWAS transition agenda for the restoration of democratic constitutional rule in Burkina Faso, Guinea, and Mali. He emphasized the importance of political governance and security within the Community.
President Bio also highlighted Sierra Leone’s successful elections, describing them as free, fair, credible, and peaceful.
He expressed gratitude to Dr. Mohamed Ibn Chambas and the ECOWAS Election Observation Mission Team for their professionalism and diligence in observing the elections.
The United Nations also extended similar congratulations to Nigerian President His Excellency Ahmed Bola Tinubu on his election earlier this year. Furthermore, the organization promised to provide support for similarly successful presidential elections scheduled to take place in Liberia later this year.

Why Maada Bio don’t mention transparency which is the key and major problem of this particular outcome of Sierra Leone elections results.
Maada Bio is better for you to hand over power safu to the rightful winner of the June 24th 2023 His Excellency Dr. Samura Kamara who was overwhelmely voted by the citizens of Sierra Leone for economic crisis under the failed president Julius Maada Bio, the human rights abuser former president and the current illigetimate president of one tribe and one region.
The longest time you will take 3 or 6months you will take off from that seat.

To even say that one of the most respected human beings on earth, the gentleman who preaches democracy in this world, the gentleman who holds high , preaches and guides the principles of human rights can come so low to congratulate the former killer President of Sierra Leone , a dictator, a lier, a destroyer of democracy and human rights violator in Sierra Leone, a president that bribes Journalists, stole money from the Central Bank to an extent that the Bank Governor ran away for fear of being blamed, a man who killed more than five hundred armless prisoners at the Pademba road prison, a man who ordered his security forces to shoot at protesters, a man with a lot of blood in his hands and brought a lot of untold sufferings to the people of Sierra Leone; is congratulated by the UN Secretary General for stealing the democratic rights of the people of Sierra Leone and installed himself as president.
I am sure the African Union observers, the EU observers, the local observers, diplomats, Ambassadors, the Common Wealth observers, the British observers, International credible journalists among others have described the June 24th elections in Sierra Leone as one that lacks Transparency and Credibility.
The rebel leader Maada Bio and his ECSL Commissioner stole the democratic rights of the people of Sierra Leone in broad daylight.
Sierra Leone is sitting on a time bomb.
We the ordinary Sierra Leoneans will not accept rigged elections results.
By the way, why did the ECSL Commissioner refused to publish the RRF forms signed by the ECSLstaff, the observers and all political party representatives in polling centers and stations?
If the UN, the Commonwealth, the African Union, the US, the UK and all others fail to help Sierra Leone to restore back our hard won democracy, the people of Sierra Leone will be at the mercy of a rebel government led by a dictator and a killer.
