Government of Sierra Leone Announces New Transport Fares
Ibrahim Hashim The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, and stakeholders in the transportation industry has today, 19 July 2022 announced new transportation fares for various destinations across the country.
The new transport fares are effective today, Tuesday 19 July, 2022.
The announcement came following the public pronouncement on the decrease in the pump prices of fuel from Le22 to Le20 yesterday evening.
“Following the public pronouncement on the decrease in the pump price of fuel per litre for Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene from Le 22,000 to Le 20,000, the General Public is hereby informed that the Ministry of Transport and Aviation in collaboration with the Motor Drivers Union and other Key Stakeholders in the Transport Sector have agreed as follows for public transportation fares within the Freetown Municipality and the Provincial/Across-Border Routes effective TUESDAY 19 JULY, 2022,” the notice reads.
