The Presidential Hajj Task Force has announced the commencement of registration for prospective pilgrims intending to participate in the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage, with the registration deadline set for Friday, 30 October 2026.

According to a press release issued by the Government of Sierra Leone, the cost of the 2027 Hajj has been fixed at US$7,000 per pilgrim.

The Task Force advised all intending pilgrims to visit the Presidential Hajj Task Force Secretariat at the Old Gym House, Bank of Sierra Leone Complex, Kingtom, to collect application forms in person. Applicants are required to present their National Identification Cards during the collection process.

Prospective pilgrims must complete and return their application forms personally, together with their passports, which must have a validity period of at least one year before the date of travel.

The Task Force further stated that all applicants will undergo a screening process to confirm that they have been habitually resident in Sierra Leone for the six months preceding the submission of their applications.

Applicants who successfully complete the screening process will be issued payment slips to make payments into the designated Sierra Leone Commercial Bank accounts.

The Task Force urged all intending pilgrims to complete payments on or before Monday, 16 November 2026, and return their payment slips to the Hajj Secretariat for further instructions.
