Government of Sierra Leone Reduces Fuel Pump Prices

The Government of Sierra Leone through the Petroleum Regulatory Agency (PRA) with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Oil Marketing Companies have reduced the pump prices of petroleum products from Le21 to Le19.50. The new price is as effective on 4th January 2023, according to the announcement.

The PRA made this announcemet in a press release issued on 4 December 2022.

“The main factor reflecting this adjustment is the downward movement in international refined petroleum product prices. Government will continue to transfer any gain and benefits on the fuel pricing to the consumers,” the statement reads.
