The Guma Valley Water Company has announced the restoration of water supply to affected areas following successful maintenance work on the 22-inch transmission pipeline at Lakka and the 3-inch offtake valve at 7th Battalion, Goderich.

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, Guma Valley Water Company issued a public notice informing residents about a temporary shutdown of water supply for five hours to facilitate this essential maintenance.

The company identified the specific areas needing attention, stating, “The identified 22-inch transmission pipeline at Lakka and 3-inch offtake valve at 7th Battalion, Goderich,” which required prompt maintenance.

Following the completion of the repairs, water supply has now been restored in accordance with the established Friday rationing schedule, providing relief to residents who were affected during the service interruption.
